December, 2011—Announced as a Pushcart Prize Nominee for "All That Glitters" (Muzzle, 2011).

December, 2011—Announced as a Weatherford Award Nominee for "How Swallowtails Become Dragons" (Accents Publishing, 2011).

June, 2011--Announced as recipient for an Arts Meets Activism Grant through the Kentucky Foundation for Women. Bianca will facilitate writing workshops for incarcerated women in Kentucky through "The Swallowtail Project" in partnership with the Kentucky Domestic Violence Association (KDVA).

May, 2011--Named "Tuesday Poet" by The Black Bottom.

April, 2011--Named one of The Top Black Performance Poets by The Root.

August, 2010--Announced as one of eight new authors to be published by Accents Publishing.  "How Swallowtails Become Dragons" will be released March 1, 2011.

December, 2010--Announced as a recipient for an Artist Enrichment Grant through the Kentucky Foundation for Women. Bianca will complete a manuscript in 2011 revolving around women in states of transition, transformation, and reinvention.
